New Brunswick rental forms
Notice of Complaint
When raising an issue directly has not worked, either side can file a written complaint with the Tenant and Landlord Relations Office.
Both · From Service New Brunswick
What it is
This is the form a tenant or landlord uses to put a complaint in writing to the Office, the first formal step toward resolving a dispute.
When to use it
- You have raised the issue with the other party and it is not resolved.
- Common issues include repairs, deposits, and notices.
The rule in New Brunswick
The Office will assign a residential tenancies officer to look into it and try to mediate. If mediation does not resolve it, the officer can issue a binding decision.
How to fill it
- 1
Enter your details and the other party's details.
- 2
Describe the issue clearly, with dates and any evidence.
- 3
Submit it to the Office, online, by mail, or at a service centre.
Common questions
How do I file a tenancy complaint in New Brunswick?
Raise the issue in writing with the other party first. If that does not resolve it, file a Notice of Complaint with the Tenant and Landlord Relations Office, and an officer will investigate and try to mediate.
This is general information, not legal advice. The official form comes from Service New Brunswick, and the Tenant and Landlord Relations Office decides disputes. Have a question? Ask the rental assistant.
